The Painted Pin Bowling Alley opened for business on Monday June 2nd in Buckhead, GA. On Thursday June 5 the SaNa Band opened the dance floor. SaNa brought Vince on guitar/vocals and Beatdown on drums. By the time they were in full swing, the band expanded to include Tony Westmoreland on harmonica/bass and vocals, Alex Jones on guitar/drums and vocals, and Ms. Johnna Jeong on guitar. The roof was truly on fire and the house was seriously rocking. The boutique bowling alley features several entertainment options in addition to the lanes, including bocce, darts, ping pong, pop-a-shot, shuffleboard, and ski ball. And it claims to have the world's only lane-side pour-your-own beer taps. In the kitchen, executive chef Thomas Collins has pizza coming out of two wood-fire ovens, plus small plates, salads, sandwiches, and tacos. Trip Sandifer is running the bar program, which offers a long list of beer, wine, and classic cocktails. The Painted Pin is open seven days a week: Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to midnight, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. It's 21 and up after 7:30 p.m. each night.
